An invitation suite might not be your first thought of something to photograph, but think how much thought and planning went into every little detail of the wedding day. I ask all couples to gather important details and put them in a box and set them aside for the photographer. This includes things like rings, invitations, perfume, wedding shoes, ribbons, veils, letters, and so much more. No detail is too small and unimportant.
THE LITTLE THINGS
From earrings, necklaces, garter, custom pins and beyond. These are items that you might overlook, but that will be super important on the wedding day. I had a bride who had a button from her moms dress sewed on her dress. These are small moments that might go unnoticed
One of the joys of your wedding day is getting all dolled up and looking your best. Why not capture those moments as you prepare to walk down the aisle? From makeup to hair, it will be fun to look back on the photos of your transformation into a bride.
Just Before The First Look
The first look is one of my favorite parts of the day, but the moment before this is just as great. Such a whirlwind of emotions from excitement, nervousness, laughter and joy pop up. Such a fun moment that you will definitely want to capture.
Just like those small details, capturing an empty ceremony space can really sure off the hard work that went into the day. It doesn’t matter if you are getting married in a luxurious venue overlooking the water, or in your back yard. Photos of a ceremony space will give you a chance to reflect on how amazing everything turned out.
There are so many small details that happen in a reception that you want to capture. From the cake, head table, dinner table, and so much more. The reception details are often overlooked because there is not much time to capture these moments. That’s what makes them even more special.
Of course you are going to want to capture the first kiss, first dance, speeches and toasts and all the big moments. But don’t forget to put some thought into those smaller moments that you will look back on and we glad you did.
