Here are a few questions that I hope will help you make that decision easier.

WHY DO YOU THINK WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY IS SO IMPORTANT WHEN IT COMES TO A WEDDING?

Both wedding photography and videographer are extremely important when it comes to your wedding. after booking your venue and wedding planner in my opinion these are the most important elements of your wedding day.

Although we both walk around with cameras, they are two completely different elements and hold different values in the future.

A photographers job is to capture snapshots. These make for great photo albums, wall art, and facebook profile pictures.

A wedding videographer allows moments to play out in a more natural environment. and encompasses two elements that can’t be replicated in photos: movement and audio:

  • Watching your grandma see a younger picture of herself

  • Having your dad see you in your wedding dress for the first time

  • Hearing your sister give a heartfelt speech at the dinner table

WHAT SETS YOU AND YOUR WORK APART FROM OTHER WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHERS?

My goal as a videographer is to elevate the basics. This includes amazing audio, creative composition, story telling and emotion driven films. Keeping things simple allows for the story to unfold without being distracted by shaky camera movement, poorly composed shots, bad lighting and audio.

I want you to get lost in the film and not even notice these things. If that happens, I did my job.

WHY ARE WEDDING FILMS SO EXPENSIVE?

I Have to pay my rent. I like nice things

WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU GIVE A COUPLE TO MAKE SURE THEIR WEDDING FILM IS GREAT ON THE DAY?

  • Have all the important details in a box ready to go: shoes, rings, pamphlet, etc. You can ask a bridesmaid to coordinate this prior and tis will allow the videographer and photographer to get detail shots without having to bother you or your bridesmaids.

  • Make all the groomsmen and bridesmaids aware that if they are giving a speech they will need to wear a microphone. This will help enhance the quality of your film.

  • Pick a room with natural light to get ready. If you are doing make up, if would be amazing if we could do the finishing touches near a window to get beautiful natural light.

  • Allow time for me to setup. During things like first looks, transition from ceremonies to family pictures. I have a lot of equipment and need time to get everything moved and ready to go.

  • Take your time

THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP though is just enjoy your day! Don’t stress about things you can’t control like the weather and relax knowing that you have booked suppliers that are well oiled machines when it comes to weddings and have done it 100 times before. Sit back, relax and enjoy every moment because your wedding video doesn’t lie and if you are stress free and enjoying your day, it will show on film and look amazing in your final videos.

WHEN CAN COUPLES EXPECT TO RECEIVE THEIR FILM AFTER THE WEDDING?

Wedding films are guaranteed to be completed within 12 weeks. I personally edit all the films, to make sure I capture the essence that I witnessed on your wedding day. I will make sure I keep you updated with the film and even send you a trailer within a week. This helps me because you get an idea of how your film will look, and can make suggestions that will help me going forward.

WHAT SHOULD COUPLES EXPECT TO BUDGET FOR WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY?

Film packages start at $3000, and is usually comparable to photography prices. After the wedding, the only thing that you have are your photo and videos. You can’t take the cake with you, and flowers aren’t heroes. They die. Photo and video will last forever, and is an amazing investment that will increase in value year after year. Imagine being able to show your kids and grandkids your wedding photos and wedding film. Want something special? contact me and we can create a custom package.
